ADMISSION CRITERIA
1. Admission will be made strictly on the basis of merit, subject to reservations for long term courses.
2. Candidates should be physically fit to undergo training. A certificate of physical fitness from the Government Medical Officer should be produced for this purpose at the time of admission for CTS courses.
3. Separate applications may be submitted for each course. The application form can be collected from the Institute.
4. DGT reserves the right to discontinue/postpone/or not to start the training programme and or increase/ decrease the seating capacity at its discretion without assigning any reason.
Working Hours: From 09.00 am to 5.30 pm with half hour lunch break on all working days (Monday to Friday).
Attendance: Minimum 80% attendance is required to appear in the Final Trade Test to be held at the end of the course.
On the Job Training: Every year 150 hours of mandatory OJT (On the Job Training) at nearby industry.

Admission & Award of Certificate: Candidates can enroll for the above programmes. A candidate has to secure 33 % in Trade Theory, 33% in employability skills, and 60% in Trade Practical marks and also have a minimum of 80 % attendance only the candidates will be allowed to appear for the final examination conducted by NCVT, New Delhi in June/July every year. On passing the prescribed exam, trainees will be awarded the National Trade Certificate from NCVET.
